2018 Toyota oddities
I was poking around Toyota.com today and a lot of the 2018 models are now updated. I looked up the 2018 Camry and 2018 Land Cruiser and both all -season and carpet floor mats are accessories. Seems to me that it would quite a scene buying a 2018 Land Cruiser at $83,665 and you drive out with no mats of any kind.
Am I not seeing it somewhere on there?

Interesting, I input four 2018 Camry VIN #'s listed from a local Toyota dealer (specifically an L, SE, LE, and XLE) all list the All Weather Floor Liners/Cargo Tray under PACKAGES instead of ACCESSORIES.
The Package code is called (2T) All Weather Floor Liners/Cargo Tray
My guess is pretty much every Camry will be 'packaged' with floor mats

Appears so. Despite it being listed as a package internally, when I pull up the V-Spec its listed for $254.00 under Optional Equipment.
I pulled up a 2017 ES350 and a 2018 ES350 V-Spec for comparison and both list 'Carpeted Floor Mats' under Standard Equipment STANDARD FEATURES.

I am assuming the Lexus models would offer carpet mats. Here is the LC accessories guide.

in fairness to toyota, lexus and dealers, they don't know what mats a customer wants or is willing to pay for so they break them out separately.

It's regional as well. West coast get regular mats as part of the MSRP breakdown, where as east coast winter package (ie AWD) get snow/mud mats in the MSRP breakdown.

Flipping through the ES350 product sheets, Lexus now offers a full size tire with alloy wheel as an option for ES models. Standard is the temporary spare. I thought it was pretty cool that Lexus has now made this an option.

Carpeted mats have always been an option on every Lexus I've ever bought.

Considering what a Land Cruiser or LX570 costs (90-100K, in some cases), it wouldn't be unreasonable for the dealership to toss them in as part of the deal.

If Toyota is anything like BMW, they just give the mats to you for free--some only one or the other, others, both. imho this is out of respect to you as a valued customer, and the vehicle. If you are a car dealer and you let a vehicle go with paper mats with the blue footprints, you don't repsect the objects which support your livelihood, my .02

You guys are totally misunderstanding this lol. The cars all have floormats...its just that they are broken out on the window sticker as "options". They all come with those options. You can't take that option off the sticker and not pay for it any more than you could any other option on the sticker.
Only way to get one without floormats would be to special order them.
As an example, this is the window sticker for my LS460. As you can see the trunk mat, cargo nets, wheel locks, key gloves are all "options" delivered in a "package". But, try and find one on a lot that doesn't have this "Accessory Package" that includes these things, they all do. So the argument "Lexus doesn't even give you a trunk mat!", they do, this is just how they break out the pricing. Why? Who knows. Who cares?
