Ok, I'm going to carry a 2 gallon container of water in to the mall so I can unlock my doors from the mall entrance just so my GX can automatically lock them again for me before I get to where it's parked, LOL

Neat info though, Thanks!

Also, if its Cold ot Hot outside, you can use your Remote Start.

You might not need the water, depending how much you have in your head. LOL

I found myself far from my MDX and the remote didn't work,I had a friend tell me to touch it to my chin so I did and sure enough it worked. I played with the theory a few times and I could tell a better distance touching it to my chin.

Looks a little obnoxious to walk around with all of that in your pocket, or maybe you're just happy to see me!

Default Automatic windows and sunroof from key fob?

Manual says this feature needs to be done at the Lexus dealership... is this true? I push and hold the unlock button and nothing happens (trying to get the windows down and the moon roof to open). Seems silly to have a handy feature but not be able to use it until the dealer enables it which I'm sure will set me back at least $100. Can anyone chime in on this?

Disregard... solution provided via PM.

Not sure why this is a PM thing as others may not know the answer. A forum is meant to help all that search for an answer.

Press unlock twice and then hold unlock.

Just a FYI,

I tried it on 2010 year and it didn't work. Is it for 14+?

Not sure if that was ever standard behavior but here is a 2016 worksheet that shows standard behavior is to not function this way. This will likely require dealer or Techstream Lite by owner. However, I think this is one of those things that dealer will do for free on initial service visit.

My apologies. The owner's manual states that this feature must be activated by the dealer. A member here was kind enough to PM me and tell me that getting a OBD2 cable with Techstream will allow me to activate this feature myself, so that is the route I am going to take. Will update the "What did you do to your GX460 today" thread once I get the cable and complete the activation.

All good sir. I guess I got lucky on my base GX with this. As Acrad mentioned, I am sure the dealer would activate this at no charge.

Hmm, I can hold unlock as mentioned here. Never knew that. I don't recall where I got the original info for this procedure.
