Default Need 1998 -2000 ls400 oem differential bushing p.n.

Am replacing Differential Bushings on 1999 LS400.

Ordered all bushings and hardware from Lexus

The rearmost carrier bushings are single . piece...while the forward mounting ear bushings are two- part upper and lower rmounts.

The front upper mount section arrived but not the larger lower mount section.

Apparently the Lexus P.N. management system vendor has mixxed up the part so instead of a rubber bushing, am receiving a metal washer.

ANYONE KNOW CORRECT P.N.or have a picture of the part in a Toyota bag to assist Lexus....Thanks.

This image depicts front mounting ear rubber isolation bushings on differential..
Image depicting upper and lower mounting ear bushings..
Need P.N. for the large bushing...1998-2000 Ls400 (borrowed image)

Front mounting ear rubber isolation bushings and related hardware depicted in lower left corner

I am trying to track this down myself. Found a couple earlier threads which say the correct part# is 41651-24010. See here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...l#post10300241

However now when I look that # up it is a dead end part #. Local lexus parts doesn't have it in their system. This all leads me to believe that in 98-2000 (when diff switched to two ears hence two front cushions) the diff assembly came with cushions pre pressed in. Perhaps other markets it is different hence you can purchase part# 41651-24010 separately?

41651-24010 is for the Celsior/Aristo that's why Lexus North America doesn't show the part. The bushing is not shown at all in the N/A parts catalogue. Is that bushing compatible? Can't say, I can say the Celsior/Aristo has a different gear ratio. Could try Amayama or Megazip but no guarantee the bushing will fit.

edit - there are some on Ebay

Thanks - yes I saw the availability at ebay. So I guess the assumption would be in NA the 98+ LS400 diff comes with bushing/cushion pre pressed in the front mounting points?

@RA40 wondering if you can shed more light on this since you were the one who originally suggested this part# in the thread I linked above?

Looks like it may be superseded as I only find eBay and private listings for that specific part# now. My suggestion would be to call the dealer and relay the VIN to get the correct part#. Let us know, usually there is some cross reference so that particular part went into the blue.

I have talked with the dealer, but they only told me the part# was "bad"

I consider this parts department to be quite good but they weren't really much help with this part# quest. I'll more than likely just try the 41651-24010 cushion and see if they fit? Though i would need to remove the existing bushings in a way that doesn't damage in case the new part does not fit... I'll keep up the contact with various parts departments and see if I can get to bottom of it

The part number is not "bad".

It is a correct Toyota P.N.

In fact have ordered and received two from Amayama...

41651-24010 exists....

What occured is Toyota North America either failed or determined not to upload P.N.41651-24010 into the database.

Tired of Toyota parts distribution apathy.

They couldn't be bothered to provide me with correct valve springs, wouldn't admit the superceding units were worse than the old springs, so replaced my engine.

Provided incorrect rubber guibo and center bearing on a new driveshaft section... then misrepresented to Lexus it was balanced when in fact it was not..because driveshafts are balanced as an assembly...then did not (or refused) to assist recommending a vendor to balance it.

Failed to provide a gasket with their $200 Air Flow Sensor...say it is available, but Denso won't sell it, or give one to Lexus because they only sell to Toyota..and Toyota won't deal with it and are jerking me around for 6 months now.

Couldn't be bothered to take a core thickness measurement of the Tow Package radiator.

Moved production of gas pedal pad from Japan to Mexico.. the quality was poor quality material (like reground rubber), fit and Lexus had to locate a Japanese part.

Show this post to your Lexus parts guy with instructions to order the OEM Toyota bagged part 41651-24010 you require.

Let him order it from Japan. Lexus purchases and sells all sorts of aftermarket parts like keyrings, golf shirts, cups, floormats and phone covers etc.

When they can't obtain spare parts due to discontinuation, (only if in service department), have heard they will source parts from a reputable yard.

Don't accept can't do for an answer.

They can order the parts you require.

Elevate to management if he remains uncertain.

Oftentimes reminded that I drive a Toyota when parts are ordered.

The Chicago Lexus dealer is not the problem in any of the foregoing...they really make an effort to solve problems, but Toyota sees things differently.

Toyota needs to understand we need to be the customer here and dispense with the beaurocratic attitude.

So Yoda, you ordered the part from amayama and it was the correct size for our model year? (98-'00) If so I will escalate at the lexus parts desk. I've gotten to know them very well as I am in the process of restoring my baby to her former glory... if they can help me out I'm sure they will.

I lifted p.n.41651-24010 off the original front lower differential bushings on 1999 LS400 and searched online. Amayama listed it and ordered two. The words "Lexus" and "Toyota" are on the part number label.... Have a low mileage, like new spare differential so the part numbers are quite clear.
Have a look at yours if still uncertain.
