This nipple got brittle and broke off, does anyone know where I can get a replacement? If not, can I seal up the hole in the intake tube and use a tiny breather air filter for the hose?
Definitely not replaceable. You gotta use some ingenuity. I had to do something similar to my stock intake. I used one of these:
(doesn't have to be threaded) Affix it to the intake tube with J/B Weld or something of the sort. Once dry, BAM, new nipple for the intake. If done right, it can look as if never messed with.
