the main reason why is the residuals. Lexus changed the residuals from 2016 to 2017. They deducted 3-5% basis points per year from my 2016, so my lease is way cheaper than 2017s. Even though the cap cost is reduced which affects a portion of the lease payment, depreciate is primarily what you pay for in a lease payment. Regardless of the cap cost, you still pay the depreciate rate is still off of MSRP. I confirmed this with Lexus Financial.

With a legit discounted price, you should be significantly cheaper. The fact that money factor info isn't posted or discussed is why your payments would be inflated, it's surely marked up and no consideration of multiple security deposits.

Hello, I was looking at lease deals too. I also considered the 2018 550i. The lease on my 2015 740i was near end. With the current $4000 rebate plus $14,000 of sticker, its hard to lease versus purchase the GS F. To get the $4,000 rebate you have to use outside financing.
I would never purchase another BMW (except for my wife ); however the lease deals on the 550i are great! BMW inflates their residuals to lower the payment. The 2018 550i is a great car but the GS F is a better fit for me and I will keep it for 6~7 years.

Perhaps this might help you, as there is $7K Rebate on GSF

That's still $2.5k more over 36 months than I am paying for the 60 month loan on ours, and I get the title at the end.

Yes. GS F.
I'm not saying anything about how people choose to spend their money. There are a lot of reasons why leasing may be to your advantage. I'm just saying the deal we got on our purchase beats the out of pocket for a lease right now.
