Default NX upgrad apple Carplay&andriod auto

I hesitated for a long time. One option is to replace the Android screen with a larger one, and the other is to add a CarPlay module to the factory screen. I chose the second option: using the original screen + CarPlay module. I was worried that changing the head unit would affect the sound quality, and that the Android system would lag after some use. The installation went smoothly and took two hours. There was no need to damage the original car wires, just insert the adapter.
After installation, I was really pleasantly surprised. I can use wireless CarPlay to play music, and the sound quality is greatly improved compared to using Bluetooth in the past. The car can automatically connect to the phone and enter CarPlay, but it's a bit slow. The best part is that the buttons on the steering wheel can directly call out Siri after installing CarPlay, which is especially cool and allows for voice control.
It only cost me $299, because the seller gave me a discount code "USD30OFF" that I could use directly. It's really great!

I did the first option and is very different. It's a add system. Everything on the original multimedia works and we can switch to the other "android Mode".
If anyone is interested, I can post more detail.

I just got a 2017 NX and wanted to know how this option has been long term? Any wireless carplay/android auto connectivity issues? how is the sound quality?

The connectivity is good and connect automatically when start the vehicle. I use Android Auto wireless.
The sound quality is good. It connect to the AUX IN in the original multimedia. So, if you want to hear the Android multimedia mode, you have to exchange to AUX. When you come to radio mode, have to switch again the input type.

Default Selecting CarPlay Interface Product

I'm looking to add carplay interface, joining the forum to learn from folks who've already been through this.
I've found seven products ranging from $330 (CarLinkLife mentioned on this thread) to $749 (BeatSonic).

Would love to hear some additional reviews.
Has anyone install a product other the CarLinkLife?
Are there addition drivers with CarLinkLife rave reviews?

My local Lexus dealer is offer the carplay upgrade for $1800. I'm up for doing it myself. Just trying to select a product to go with.
Thanks in advance!

Can you share a link for this exact unit? There's different suppliers and I've not seen any state their unit had "wireless" Android Auto capability.

Thanks in advance and @LEXNXF is probably interested too 🙂
