Lexus Pembroke Pines, FL
I made the mistake of contacting Lexus of Pembroke Pines, FL, regarding the purchase of a new LS. I contacted them via email recently and among a few other questionable responses I received regarding their approach to selling, I noticed my spam email file started to get bombarded with mail. It became obvious they sell email addresses. I must have received well over 200 spam emails above what I normally get in a day.
If you deal with them, just be aware of this. I've dealt with many other car dealers in S. FL in the many years I've lived here and never have had this happen. I personally think it's a pretty poor business practice when a company stoops so low just to make a few extra bucks.
UPDATE: It must have taken me 5 minutes or so to post my original above message. I checked and deleted all spam emails before I started and now went back and have received 15 more in this short period of time.

Unbelievable the amount of spam I'm still receiving due to this dealership selling my email address. The salesmen involved were Andrew Lorenzo and Frank Marsala. I've advised them but they've done nothing to correct the problem.

What’s of interest here is that if this dealership stoops to this level to make a few extra $, what else are they doing to their customers behind their backs to line their pockets?
I discussed this with my daughter who is a practicing attorney here in Fl. She suggested I report it to the Federal Trade Commission which I plan on doing.

I've used this for something similar to avoid the deluge so I thought I'd share it. It may not fit your need but I thought I'd just let you all know it exists...

Side note, and forgive me for hijacking, but where do you service your vehicle? Pembroke or Aventura? Thanks in advance!

Annoying (among other things)? Most definitely. Unique to Pembroke Pines? Hardly.
About a year ago, I was doing a bit of searching, and it was pretty much the same thing - with texts and emails - with dealerships all over. I just systematically unsubscribed, and it all stopped.
Frankly, I find myself more troubled by lies and incompetence from some dealerships (topics for a different thread), which can impact product/service quality, than by some of these back office annoyances (which do affect the experience, no question).

Auto dealers in Las Vegas could add a casino area to their dealerships where customers could drop money while they wait on their cars. But that floor space of the dealership would be less profitable than the rest of the dealership.
