thanks all. appreciated. some answers/responses:
a) snark from you was expected but no, i have said many times my suv replacement would likely be an ev.
b) thanks if you're offering.
yes, i only wanted the limited version because i'm spoiled from having top trim santa fe with things like hud, heating/cooled seats, better sound system, auto everything, etc.
thanks! i wasn't looking for a matte car but it was the only one on the lot. the purchasing story i'll share at some point, but tl;dr it wasn't too painful so not all hyundai dealers suck.
thanks! yeah, old beast lc500 is still here.
thanks and yes. i need to get it done pronto. figuring out options tomorrow.

thanks. tesla has many pluses, like charging network, but nearest showroom / service is 90mi. away for one thing, plus i couldn't wait for highland type features to arrive to address some of the 'missing' things i care about. the hyundai ioniq 5 although somewhat plasticky inside to me, is very precisely made, drives great, and has very familiar features for me, coming from the santa fe.
really loving the gauge screen, main screen, and heads up display which is much bigger with more info than my '21 santa fe had (a nice surprise).

couple of early impressions / things i've learned or now seen beyond reviews...
it does 1 pedal driving as well as the tesla i rented, coming to a complete stop very smoothly when modulated without needing to use brakes at all.
charging port charge level lights are cool.
also when charging, i noticed there's a strip up front that lights too... only noticed when i went in my garage without the garage lights turned on.

tires are michelin primacy (20" 255's)... despite the vaunted michelin name, they're rather firm and you feel bumps with a little more noise than expected. i will check pressures tomorrow.
love the pixel details all over... like seats and here on door trim...
yup, it's small but it does have a frunk.

Congrats! Cant wait to hear your thoughts on it. Charger is pretty easy…I’ve done a lot of research into it.

Congrats, and welcome to the club! Now that you are one of "us", you have to learn the secret handshake . Can't wait to hear your impressions after a couple of weeks of living with your BEV.
BTW, tires will get quieter over the next few weeks as they break in
