Default It's GONE. Sold my 23 NX450H+

Sold it yesterday. Owned it 9 months and lost $30K. Edmunds says the prices for EV's are tanking big time. Sold it while it was worth something. Couldn't take the crazy Infotainment snafu's of not knowing whose key was driving, 12V battery constantly needing charging and so on.

For you FLORIDA NX owners, I have a few items I didn't leave in the car. If any of you are interested, let me know. I'm in Crystal River but go towards Orlando and Tampa often.

I have the Modern Spare Tire and Tools, TuxMat Floor Mats and Cargo Mat, Crystal Ball Gear Shifter ****.

Not good news for potential buyers of a Lexus model NX!

But potentially helpful to me personally because I'm taking notes for reference in my consideration to possibly buy a 2nd Gen NX.

Couldn't take the crazy Infotainment snafus of not knowing whose key was driving, 12V battery constantly needing chargingand so on.

Do you mind me asking what you originally paid for your 450? 30K loss for a 2023 seems crazy given I see even 2022 NX450s with 20k miles going for at least low to mid 50k dollars.

Wife and friend both have 2023 NX 350H' s. Both for over one year both ZERO problems. Both getting 40mpg. Both absolutely love them. Consumer Reports list the NX 350h as the best in the luxury small class. They both would confirm. Consumer Reports also says best buy over $45,000. I would never consider the plug-in for $10-12,000 more. If you ran it 100% in EV mode unrealistic would take 17 years to break even. Consumer Reports just stated that EV have 79% more problems than ICE vehicles and plug-ins 146% more.

Makes sense on paper, but I’m loving my 2024 NX450. Haven’t used a drop of gas (turns out I need to in order to deal with that 12v battery issue), love the power, feel, lux trim with all the bells and whistles. I’ve driven 350s, feels like a step back. But it comes down to where you want to put that extra 10k and what you really value in your vehicle. 350h is a smart choice for some, a very nice SUV, but I could never go back.

Absolutely correct. As the saying goes different strokes for different folks.

Bought my wife a 2024 350h 6 months ago, long story short my bank account is $52K lighter. If I didn't have to pay for it, I would take the 450h+ ($67K OTD) all day every day.

$75,000.00ish with all the fees and 6% sales taxes. Sold it for $47,500.00.

Had offers from CarMax @ $45,000 even though online they said $48,200. Their excuse was the price went down overnight and that was the top of their range. I asked what I needed to get to the top of the range and they said NOTHING, the car was emasculate with plenty of upgrades.

Edmunds said it was priced at $44,000-48,000. They then provided a graph with the estimate price from Jan 2023 until now and it dropped every month.

Consumer Reports uses Black Book and they said it was worth $51,000-56,000.

Damn, that’s rough! Thanks for the info. Buying in 2022/2023 meant navigating some steep dealer markups as well. And that sales tax is always a shock. You didn’t consider a private buyer? Probably a lot of hassle, but if squeezing out every dollar matters, might be worth a try in the future. Seems some states aren’t getting much NX450 allocation and people have been waiting over a year to get their hands on one.

Tell me about it. We pay 9-10.75% sales tax here in the SF bay area, depends on county, plus high DMV fees.....
Also sometimes it ain't that easy to sell privately on a $50K+ item privately.........

Good point. That’s a shame.

Isn't it recommended to periodically get to where the engine is run?

I am not planning on selling my 2022 NX 350h but I would not buy another at this point. I really like the car and it drives great but I having trouble living with the 12V battery issue. I hold my breath every time I go to start the car since the 12V battery has died several times. I now hook up the trickle charger every time I back it into the garage. Its also a little embarrassing and I do take grief from friends and relatives who think I must be crazy to put up with this issue. Multiple times to the dealership who say everything checks out. The dealership does recommend using the trickle charger which is a little ridiculous for a new supposely luxury car. 6K miles on the car.

Did the $75K include a dealer markup? The MSRP would have had to be close to $70K. Hard to believe more than 20% drop in a year from that price given that new ones are selling at or close to MSRP now.

Quick Reply: It's GONE. Sold my 23 NX450H+
