Daytime Running Lights not turning off
Lots of posts on DRL but I couldn't find one to match what i'm experiencing. I have a 2015 RX350 with 75k miles, i'm in Texas and recently the daytime running lights have stayed on all the time. whether the vehicles locked or unlocked, whether the headlights are on or not, whether the motors running or not the front running lights remain on. I haven't made any modifications or replaced any parts, all the lights work fine, except for the permanent DRLs.
I'm thinking there must be a faulty sensor or switch but I've no idea how to isolate or fix. Any suggestions for me? Or is there a workaround?
Appreciate any advice.

If you plan to diagnose and fix the problem, circuit diagram and test light [voltmeter can be helpful but test light is the best] would be needed. You have already confirmed the problem as DRL staying ON even after switching of the vehicle, plus upto 5 mins of courtesy delay [not that there has to be the delay].
I suspect some relay is staying stuck closed [may or may not be released by disconnecting the 12v]. You might be doing this to preserve battery drain.
You can try to change the control input by turning on the head light manually and flicking the high beams on-off. If nothing it will give you one more clue.
Pleas share what you find as you are among the first to report this problem.

I believe you are right that it is likely the relay. I just had the same situation where my aftermarket headlight’s DRL decided to stay on overnight when I realized it the next day. I’m in the PNW so we get frequent rains and what happened was that somehow there was enough water that seeped through the inner compartment where the relay was laying sort of flat and basically soaked it. As soon as I turned the relay up, drips of water came down and the DRL turned off itself. My guess is that the water was conductive and kept the electrical current going somehow. The issue I have now is my DRL doesn’t light up when toggled to “AUTO” from the light switch, but still lights up on the partial and full headlight mode (runs the dimmer DRL).
