Default Front Grill Camera

I have a 2024 NX 350h premium, and I saw that I have the plug for the front grill camera.
Is there an option to fit the front grill camera to the current grill?
I found this exploded (section 1)view and was wondering if I get the front assembly and cover, will it work with the 14" infotainment system

Do you physically see an unused plug in front of the radiator?

I can't say for certain, but I suspect its not as easy as just plugging in a new camera. The 360 camera view system not only integrates front, side, and rear cameras (and the inside button) but also requires the software to be enabled to accept input from the cameras (combined with sensor readings from the parking and radar sensors) to be able to build (stitch together) the 360 view along with all the visual markups that are overlayed on the camera images. I'm going to be pessimistic that simply plugging in 1 front camera would suddenly bring just this one part of the full feature set to life no questions asked. Enabling the software feature is probably going to be the challenge for this and my gut says Lexus isn't going to make this easy.

It is interesting that you have an unused connector on the front bumper below the lexus emblem.

Typically if the car wasn't optioned with the panoramic camera the wires would not be there.

This is why I thought about connecting the front camera

Lightbulb power ?

Sometimes it is more effective for the car vendor, Lexus in this case, to pre-install a complete wiring harness instead of try to make separate partial wiring harnesses. Check to see if you have power on the harness and whether or not it is switched power. You can install camera if you have power. However, if switched power, then hard to set up as a security /theft camera

YMMV,

So have you attempted this? I took a look behind my grille and I also have the same unused plug just sitting there.

I did not, the camera module and brackets are over $1500. Plus since I don't have the 360 system add on not sure the car can read the camera

There are some on eBay for less than $500. I'm almost tempted to try it myself and pray for some plug and play

Any links to the ebay?

I searched in few sites, including salvage sites and cloud not find anything.

Hack, when I was at the dealership for service, not even one NX had the camera on it

I also saw this but there is no camera. Not sure if it's necessary.

I found this site where you can see all the parts for the camera and buy it at $311
