Default How to Turn off Auto Parking Brake

Hello everyone, newbie here with 5th gen RX 350 F Sport ICE. So far I am in love with the car except DRL not turned on when remote start. As far as I know, I need to disable auto parking brake mode to get it working. But I could not find neither anywhere in the touchscreen setting nor the parking brake physical button to turn off the auto mode. When I pull up the physical button a couple seconds, the vehicle literally says parking brake engaged. I wonder anyone could help me because I am really in love with Lexus DRL and I need to see it on when remote starting the vehicle. Thank you in advance.

You’d probably need to change the car’s programming to do that. It’s common for cars to turn of DRLs with the parking brake engaged.

4th gen has an Auto button next to Parking Brake button and we could simply hit that button to turn Auto mode off. 5th gen does not have it.

Do you think dealer could do that?

According to the owner's manual, here is how to turn off the auto parking brake:

"While the vehicle is stopped and depressing the brake pedal, press and hold the parking brake switch until a buzzer sounds and a message is shown on the multi-information display."

I can't press down the switch. Only "pull" up and it says something like I just manually engaged the parking brake.

I suspect not. Looking at what Carista currently allows for the RX, I don’t see what you want as an option. https://carista.com/en/supported-cars/lexus/rx/5th-gen

Press down the Parking Brake switch on the center console briefly to disengage the PB,
Press down and hold the switch until it chimes to defeat the Auto PB system.
Lift the PB button briefly to engage the PB, Lift up and hold until it chimes to reenable the Auto PB.

DRL's are normally on when the car is running but are specifically off when the car first starts with PB engaged.
You will notice that the DRL's stay on (except when the Headlights are on) when you stop and engage the PB.
