Default Impressions in seat bottom from seat heater?

I am currently shopping for an LC500 convertible. I have noticed in numerous for sale pictures what appears to be impressions in the seat bottom leather. I suspect they may be from the seat heater elements. Anyone have further information on this?

While my seat has warmed nicely (using Climate Concierge), can't say its gotten hot enough to feel like it would damage anything. I've used the seat heaters at max on my other Lexus's and also have not noticed any deformities on the seat bottoms. I have noticed on our ES (older leather) where the side bottom bolsters have creases from wear, specifically by the driver door side. Also, I'm 6ft 205lbs so not sure if weight could be contributory.

To me, the LCC has the most comfortable seats so far especially for longer drives.

Mine have them. I have seen other posts saying they have had them replaced under warranty.
I am going to have it looked at next time I am in for service.

Is this only related to the Convertible? Is the cause then related to the heating elements or stretching of the material or something else?

I have no idea of the cause but it certainly looks like it is either the heating or cooling elements.

These?

If so, these have been there since my LC 500 was new. IDK what the deal is with them.

Great photo, I just went and looked and if viewed from an angle with a bright light I see the same. Maybe it wasn't as noticeable since I have a black interior.

Feels like vents in the foam padding probably for the heated/cooled seats?

Don't the Convertibles (touring package) have "Sport" framed seats even though they are listed as touring? Didn't think you could get any other type seat for the Convertible?

I guess what I meant was this only happens on the semi-aniline leather and not on the alcantara?

I have the same “problem”

the leather on the LC sport seats aren’t nearly as thick as the touring seats. If I had a choice I would pick touring seats any day of the week.

I have Alcantara seats

2023 12,000 miles - I am 245 and I own 11,000+ of those miles in driver seat (my son has driven some and 4 hours on first day 16 hour drive home)

NO ISSUES. Seats are still perfect - absolutely love the Alcantara!

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the alcantara. It just didn’t feel luxurious to me. But this is enough of a reason to get the alcantara.
Mine only has 600miles. I can feel the vents/elements under the seat, but I don’t think the Alcantara material will allow it to make an imprint on it.

The toasted caramel seats in my 2023 conv't (currently 6K miles) have similar markings, too. Has someone out there had their seat bottoms replaced under warranty? It doesn't really bother me that much but if it's something being replaced under warranty, I will ask my local dealer to do it next time it's in for service. Thanks.
