Default New Owner - 2016 LS460

Been looking for the past few months for a very nice 2016-2017, low mileage LS460. Finally found what I hope will be a long term happy ownership.

My lady and I own a 2014 ES350 and have been very happy with this Lexus.

I have been a high performance AMG owner for many years, but, I am about to retire and can't afford the expensive maintenance of the AMG. So, an LS460 was my choice and the 2016/2017 years seem to be the one to buy.

Car is a one-owner, clear Carfax white over tan interior with just under 26k miles. Southern California car its whole life. Will pick it up this weekend. Hopefully a smooth deal. Will post pics after I get it home.

Welcome. Sounds like a good deal. I hope you have a little LS fund set aside, just in case.

Thanks for the welcome

On the subject of maintenance and known issues with the LS460’s, is there a post or sticky discussing known issues? I’m a pretty good wrench - am in the process of a nut and bolt restoration of a vintage AMG, so very little intimidates me.

I have a 2016 LS base I bought last year with 33K miles on it and while I'm a very minor DIY guy (air filters and other basic stuff) I have had zero issues after 7,000 miles. I do follow the forums and I am aware of the issues after high mileage but I must say this is the most comfortable car I have ever owned over 55 years. I still like high performance but with a bit of a luxury twist, that's why I also own a 2024 IS500. Enjoy your LS.

You picked a great car for how you want to use it, also found one with really low miles and no rust or salt issues. You should get a great many miles before you have to do anything beyond normal maintenance. My 2015 LS460 AWD, I am the second owner, just hit 57 thousand miles, absolutely issue free to date for me and the previous owner, knock on wood.
