Is $6,800 considered a fair price for 2011 ES 350?

I saw a 2011 ES 350 with 202,560 miles. It's about 4 hours drive from where I am. The seller is asking for $6,800 cash only. Is it worth buying? The seller said he's a legit dealer and I should not worry about paying cash. However, I have never paid hard cash for any of my vehicles. I'm quite uneasy. I saw too many movies where criminals counting cash when paying for drug or something illegals. ![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Too many miles I think. All depends on it’s condition.

Find a lower mileage vehicle that is closer to your location.
Always get a used car inspected by an independent local shop, usually about $100 for a pre-purchase inspection. Then use what they find to help negotiate a much lower price. If traveling a ways to see a car, check ahead for nearby shops, then call them and schedule an inspection if you think the car is worthwhile. If the seller does not want you to do this, run away from the vehicle. There are always more used cars available.

I see them going between $3500-$5500. A lot of them under 150k miles.
Mine is a 2007 with 223k miles. I don't think I can get more than $3k for mine from the research I've done-
kbb says $4,900 private party retail and $2700 for trade in. Now sure how I'm going to compete with the market when you can get a newer ES with less miles for $5k (via FB)

Yeah, I have been looking at Facebook MarketPlace as well but a majority of them are fake/scams. When I message them, they never respond or want to communicate outside of the Marketplace.

I've seen a number of 2007-2009 ES' on FB marketplace for cheap. They look clean from the pictures.

I have a 2011 ES UL package with the ML, which is a rare find., 203k. I flew over 800 miles to buy it back in 2018 (had 77k on it then); very well taken care of. I have a spreadsheet of all the services done to the car, as well as most of the receipts. Not ready to sell yet, but considering the condition, rare package, and maintenance history, I'd ask a little more than $6800 for mine, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to sell. I'm meticulous about my cars; while this one has some blemishes with age, it's not in bad condition at all. I'll be replacing it with a 2016-2018 in a year or so. It's been the best, most reliable car I've ever owned. Outside a leaking CV axle (replaced the boot only--$60 part and Toyota did it), it's just been routine maintenance. I replaced a couple of worn/faded trim pieces, and I had the front seats reupholstered in vinyl to match the OEM perforated pattern inserts. The rear sunshade recently quit working, so I'll pick up a used one online and replace it, but that's really about it.
FWIW, I just put mine into KBB for private party. $6900 is right in the middle, high number (optimistic) is around $8200.
