Default Transmission oil cooler line replacement

So I took my transmission out and the line was bending and turning because the nut was rusted, I was wondering if any of you have replaced it and with what? If you replaced it with oem where did you get it at?

96, my bad I didn’t specify I think it’s the oil cooler line, they connect to the side of the transmission and then to the bottom of the radiator

Either you get them off a wrecked LS or you fab your own from universal length of tube. Keep the originals to use as a pattern,

You might try to find a vendor like Inline Tube, Unfortunately, Inline doesn't do imports. It wouldn't hurt to inquire as they may know someone that will do replacements for you.

I was thinking about extending the rubber on one of the lines maybe and and putting the metal piece back in

Can flare the end(s) of the remaining good section(s) of line and complete the run with rubber hose. Salvage yard is great if you can find one that has the parts.

I had to cut it because the nut wouldn’t come loose and it bent the line and twisted it

It sounds like the root of the issue is the rusted nut(s).
Both nuts aka line connectors are still available from Toyota/Lexus.
Replace those and the O rings with new parts and find viable replacement cooler tubes from a salvage yard- https://car-part.com/
The cooler tubes are obviously NLA and likely never available from any aftermarket source. Fortunately, the same tube fits 1995 thru 2000 models so it shouldn't be hard to find a donor car in a warm climate.

If you do this, it's best to put a bead on the ends of the steel line so they hold the hose. Some say that double clamping is good enough. There's not a lot of fluid pressure running through those lines so it's more a matter of your comfort level.

so I went to the junkyard yesterday and it was already gone, so my only option is aftermarket is there a way I can find an aftermarket one?

I doubt the cooler lines were ever available as an aftermarket option.

You have a nation-wide network of salvage yards at your fingertips with www.car-part.com
Find a 95 to 2000 LS in a southern non rust belt climate. Lean toward the later years if possible…

Default Transmission oil cooler replacement

So one of my coworkers who’s the master tech at my shop told me to cut my transmission line when I was dropping the transmission when it wouldn’t budge, can’t find a replacement anywhere. Has anyone replaced it with aftermarket or know an online shop that sells them?

get yourself some rubber hose designed for fuel and oil, and use that for your transmission cooler line if you can't get a replacement. It's your only other option than remaking the metal lines yourself
