It appears that the latest software update has affected the voice directions given during navigation. Is there an option someplace to re-enable them? I find it very difficult to read the displays when driving in unknown areas and would really need the vocal directions. Help please.

From the Software Update thread, this 'feature' got introduced in the 2070 software version.

Playing around, I managed to get my voice prompts working again. In the Settings menu, there's a voice prompt command which is in the default mode of enabled, but it's really not. I disabled that and tried to get Lexus to talk, but no luck. Then I re-enabled the option and everything started working as you would suspect. So far, so good.

I cannot find this in "Setting" what sub-menu in Setting?

I have Turn by Turn directions in the Lexus GPS but not in Apple Car Play, Apple Maps or Google Maps.

Take a look in latest RX forum, how to fix it is even if your volume at a loud state say on Radio. When you launce the voice guidance, put the volume at full force it will get extremely loud but this will bring your voice prompt back for Navigation and Car Play messages. Then everything will go back to normal.

I now see that what I did sometimes works, but not always. The option is under Settings, Voice & Search, Voice Prompt. It came up as enabled, but toggle it from enabled-disabled-enabled. I then did Hey Lexus, gave it an address and it responded with an audio Found/Go Now? After this, the voice sometimes works and other times not.
