I can't see any part number. I'm assuming OEM blades would have a part number, correct? They do clip on and off very easily but the driver side is squeaking. It wipes fine though.
I think blades were put on right before I bought the car because the passenger side still had that yellow protective sleeve on it lol. So I'm assuming these are aftermarket. I just wanted to make doubly sure before I order OEM blades from the dealer.
@Gerf Thank you so much! Mine are without a doubt not factory. They definitely do not have that metal and they lack the bulky look of OEM.
I'll be ordering a set today. By the way, it's hard to tell from the diagram on Lexus parts.com but do the wiper blades come with the inserts or do I have to buy them separately?
Ask the blade seller. But I would expect for the rubber to be included. In the future, it’s cheap ($15) and easy to buy OEM rubber refills and keep the OEM part for years to come. Most report great results with OEM.
I forgot to call the dealer after work but looking at the diagrams and a picture I found online from another OEM supplier, I think the inserts are included.
I just went ahead and ordered them. And since there was a sale going on I bought a few other things as well, including the all weather floor mats. I actually wasn't planning on buying them since winter is a ways away but the deal was so good I figured I might as well pick them up now. I actually found a dealer in New Jersey with really low prices and shipping was free thanks to the promotion. Thanks to the sale, I only paid $62 for the floor mats and the wiper blades were like $18 each.
Anyway, I've been using whatever the most expensive Rain-X wipers are for years. I use them on my 2004 430 and 2007 460 L and have been incredibly happy with them in terms of performance. However, on my 2007, when I have the music off I can hear a slight clunk at the end of the cycle. It doesn't sound like the motor, it sounds like the wiper banging. It's weird.
On my F Sport, I don't have any kind of a clunk but I have a squeak lol. Given that, I figured I would just try OEM since a lot of people here seem to rave about them. I'll see how it goes.
