Hello friends,
Today when I placed my iphone on the wireless charging pad, the charging status was not shown in Carplay - previously shown on the Carplay navigation screen upper left side underneath iphone bars and 5G. Not good because as we all know, the wireless charging pad is inconsistent and seeing the status indicates need to move phone to reestablish charging. Same when I plugged in iphone.
Did not have time to troubleshoot or try the Lexus page.
Anyone else see this?

We lost that after the last software update. It had to make room for the arrows on the top left corner to expand/compress the screen.

We were on extended trips last week (9.5 hours each way), and I can report that our iPhone's State of Charge was still visible on the lower-left side of the CarPlay screen. (RX's firmware 2170)

We don't use the wireless charger because of all the junk my co-pilot stores in the center bin. We just store our phone in the tray under the screen.

When the phone's battery dropped to ~ 30% (after ~ 5 hrs) we used a cable to charge from one of the USB-C outlets for a while.

Excellent comments. So if we disable Carplay voice notifications, then the bell is replaced by the battery symbol? I will try next time in the RX - wife's car, she does not let me drive it much

I have Carplay voice notification ON and I also can see the battery charge indicator.

I can't see where the battery indicator fits if the bell is displayed. They use the same screen real estate.

Yes, I tested this today in my RX and can confirm that I lose the battery status and get the stupid bell in CarPlay whenever voice notification is on; I get the battery status back when voice notification is off. Appears to be binary.

I'm guessing you haven't installed the latest 2170 software update on your RX.
