I keep a close eye on the new RC F market to compile and track the MY24 TE Registry. I have noticed the lack of new Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0 new RC Fs. The colors I constantly see on the new market are Ultra White, Caviar, and Infrared.

I have also yet to see a MY24 Flare Yellow on the new car market, this is expected because it requires the Carbon Package, and I assume Lexus only takes special orders from dealerships or has a limited number of Flare Yellows it will manufacture.

 

I think flare yellow is a hard sell for potential Lexus buyers. For some stupid reason you have to get the carbon package for flare yellow. At the time I bought my 2020 that was around a $8-10k option which included the carbon package. NOW it's like what $20k?! Seems insane considering you can get a normal RC350 in flare yellow no problem. I still can't understand how Lexus comes up with options or package deals. It really makes no sense half the time. I love yellow cars and really wanted mine in yellow at first but wasn't willing to spend that much. When you are getting close to $90-100+k for an RCF, I'm looking at other cars... ( I love our cars btw)

It's probably way easier for Lexus to make, caviar, white, red.... that's the normal colors people are going to go with, and if this is the last year they are making the RCF then it would benefit them in making easy colors on an already hard car to sell... USB is pretty though, seems odd there aren't that many. But when you look at the last couple years of the RCF and considering they were under 300 sold in the USA per year, there really isn't a strong/huge demand...etc.

@nigel821 Good post. Definitely absurd you have to get the Carbon Package for Flare Yellow. How about allowing customers to get the CF hood in the US if they so desire it on the non-TE RC F? What’s so special about the OEM CF hood that Lexus won’t make that an option?

America is really weird with options on cars for some reason.

ROW for the RCF you could get the carbon and CCB as an option that wasn't dedicated to track edition. Problem is no one would be optioning those here. Lexus CF is on point, beautiful in person. But the RCF is already a tough sale. Not sure why Lexus does what they do half the time. We don't even get power folding mirrors here on an almost $80k+ car which seems absurd... I had to retro fit them in order to have that option.
