Default Finally did it changed from single to triple beam headlights

i have a 2020 ES250 with single beam headlights and since i got the car i was looking to upgrade the headlights, but every where I read it said it couldn’t be done because incompatibility.
yesterday i found a certified car electrician he had a pair of oem triple head lights that i guess he programmed or maybe changed the connector to make it fit my car I don’t really know.
all i know is i went to him he took half the bumper off and installed the new headlights to the same connector in my car and everything worked as expected i saw the head lights before he installed them and it said lexus on the back. Next step i guess would be to change to grille.
btw i compared these headlights to my friend 2022 UL and they worked exactly the same way not like the Chinese knock offs that you see on the web.

Wow. Nice. I found a very nice luxury trim ES that had everything I wanted except the triple beam headlights and almost took the plunge - thinking I'd do the same thing you did. But I was concerned about the complications of the upgrade and decided to go with a different ES that already had them. I'm glad it worked out for you.

Do they adjust up and down as needed? Maybe the only way to know would be to turn them on at night and see if they do the self-check thingy where they go up and down before they level off. Do the side lights work when you use the turn signal at lower speeds?

they don’t adjust up and down and the cornering light works as expected.

That's probably fine. I don't know how much value the up and down thing is. It probably helps to prevent blinding other drivers and/or focusing the beam on the road a bit better. But not likely a deal breaker.

Congrats! Looks great. I love how the triple beams make the front end of the ES look.

It looks good, but how do they do compared to the OEM single beam system.? I would be fine with that price btw.

it is a OEM unit, on low beam it is about the same but high beams is much brighter than single beam unit. Btw I asked my local dealership for the same lights and they quoted me US$11,000 after discount.

It was a lot of labor to convert them from the single light. That’s expensive.

That is if ordered with the car. Lexus part after is $3500/ light not including labor.
