Probably the cat, especially the third one under that car that isn't monitored. My bank 2 cat throws a code and stinks a bit like sulfur when I accelerate hard.

any solution? Rather than changing the cat because mechanic charges too much for the cat. Thanks

is the smell inside our outside? You notice it more when your AC or fan is on or can you smell it outside the car?

Inside with AC or vent could be a rodent that got into your vents - that would have to be removed and there are spray cans that will fix it. Outside or coming from your cats is likely a replacement and yes those are quite expensive. Last thing to check is it is possible you ran over something that splashed up on your cats or exhaust, if so take it to one of those self-wash places and high pressure spray it off... I hit a skunk with my "new to me" Jaugar that stink was there for weeks

Muffler/exhaust shop which possibly uses Magna-flow universal converters.....

I am probably a horrible person. My first thought was, "I don't think dead tabby cats smell like rotten eggs."
