Default Buying ES350

Decided to get a new V6 ES350 while I still can. Will probably get UL. Can anyone comment on what is best prices now, I seen people get 6-8% off MSRP with broker help. I have a 2022 NX that I can trade in but does that complicate things with brokers?

FYI - I was offered $5000 off MSRP, with no other add-ons, a few weeks ago. This was on a 2024, and not a UL model. Good luck.

I see they have a substantial lease cash on 2024 model, is it worth doing it with one lease payment?

Don’t you want to at least see what the Gen 8 2026 model will look like before you buy? You might really like it and regret buying a 2025 that can’t be told from a 2019. The 2025’s may be deeply discounted at that time.

I would aim for 10%. Find dealers that want to move iron. I would get on the phone but not with a broker, do the leg work.

If he wants the V6 there’s no point. True, no one outside of HQ in Japan is 100% certain that the 6 will be gone, but every other Toyota model and cars from every other manufacturer are following the same trend of going to ever smaller engines, There is no reason to rationally believe that Toyota will make an exception for the new ES and keep it as a six rather than putting in a turbo-4. This even happened to their brand sales leader, the RX.

Here we go again! I already won one $20 bet on this issue!
OP ought to at least see the pictures and read the literature on the new model so he has all the relevant information before pulling the trigger on a $50,000 deal.I certainly would. Serious money, to me at least.

If you don't really want a pano roof you might consider the Lux. It has pretty much everything the UL has, but w a conventional sunoof.

My 2024 ES350 Luxury has the optional panoramic roof and most other ultra luxury options and features except the triple headlights and rear side sunshades. When I was car shopping online for a UL, I learned to study the MSRP to get a rough idea of what options were added. Some dealer websites would link to the sticker so I could see all the options on the car and understand how the MSRP was affected. My MSRP was nearly the same as a typical UL, but $1215 less because of having standard LED headlights. I found the panoramic glass roof was on every L and UL I looked at online. I was only looking in IN, IL, MI and OH, which might affect the typical option list, if it changes with regions. I did not want that $500 glass roof, but I accepted that I would have to take it in order to get the other features I wanted. They discounted my car about $3700 and gave me a better trade-in allowance on my Toyota Avalon than my local Lexus dealer offered. We like the new car and simply ignore the glass roof. We seldom drive at night, but the stock LED headlights seem to be about the same as the Avalon had, which were great. I got my first car in 1964 and have to say I was glad when sealed beam headlights went away. The LED lights are better yet than the halogens I had on some of my Toyotas.

...
Panoramic glass roof (as well as Mark Levinson audio system and triple beam headlights) are extra cost options for both the Luxury and Ultra Luxury ES 350 model types. Granted Lexus builds nearly every ES 350 Ultra Luxury with all those options but you're also going to find the ES 350 Luxury models optioned up to standard Ultra Luxury features also include those Ultra Luxury options also. Over the years I've seen ES 350 Luxury model vehicles listed for sale than lists "panoramic glass roof" in the included features, so a Luxury model doesn't guarantee an ES 350 with just a moonroof.

Per the 2025 (US) Lexus web site's FEATURES comparison table, the standard features of an ES 350 Ultra Luxury model that are add-on options (or package) for Luxury models that may or may not be included in a built Luxury model are:

1. Power trunk with kick sensor
2. 18-in split-five-spoke alloy noise-reduction wheels with Vapor Chrome finish
3. 10.2-in Head-Up Display
4. Lexus Interface* with 12.3-in touchscreen display. Includes 3-year trial of Drive Connect* with Cloud Navigation, Intelligent Assistant and Destination Assist. Subscription required after trial. 4G network dependent.
5. Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking and Rear Pedestrian Detection,* and Panoramic View Monitor*

(Of course, if one must have the manual rear-door sunshades that feature only exists on Ultra Luxury models as a standard feature.)

If one wants one or more of those five features, with an Ultra Luxury model there's no question about whether or not the vehicle you're looking to buy has that feature since, as a standard feature of that model type, you know it has it. On the other hand, with a ES 350 Luxury model type you have to inspect each Luxury model vehicle (and/or its factory window sticker) to know whether or not that vehicle was built with that desired feature included.

Considering a ES 350 Luxury model type over a ES 350 Ultra Luxury model type for purchasing is up to each individual buyer. For the buyer to get what they really want and don't want they should start out by knowing what the standard included features are for the various model types and what are the possible but not necessarily included optional features are for the various model types.

Probably see photos and read about mechanical details, etc. in maybe 9 more months. I can’t see the harm in waiting but to each his own. Best of luck to you.

Each model year becomes more encumbered by regulations, why wait.

I too wanted a new ES350 UL primarily because of the V6. I wanted with a specific non typical color and everything on it but the pano roof and the spoiler. The dealer special ordered it many months ago and it is now allocated from Corporate Lexus to the dealer and will be built the end of Sept for delivery sometime in Oct. I am getting several thousand off of MSRP; probably could have pushed more but most any other dealers barely take any off with a special order.
