On cold days, I notice that if I start the car and hang inside for a while long enough for the engine to kick in, there's a moderate to high vibration going on. Sometimes it's worse, sometimes it's very light.

After a couple of minutes, I can hear a slight noise and the roughness is 100% gone with the engine still going.

Got this new car after hearing how reliable it is, and I'm a a bit taken aback...

Is this normal? Thanks for any feedback

yep 100% normal. depending on load, conditions, having to charge the battery etc. it'll put drag on the engine

also at a stop light the car may rumble side to side while in drive. occasionally happened to my two brand new ESes. usually it's not a problem because you are running on electric only, but at times and certain conditions when the engine has to get loaded up and idle, you'll feel it at a stop light, a side to side rocking/rumble/grumble. not a big deal and it's usually fairly smooth.

My 3.5 V6 was brand new and had the same cold idle issue every winter.
Took it to the dealer, and they have a TSB.
They cleaned the air mass sensor under warranty, and has been great for many years after....

thank you for sharing. I never noticed it at stop lights, but what worried me was the unexpected roughness. Never seen that before in other cars

The roughness if because of too rich condition during the heat up cycle. All 8 injectors spray a large amount of fuel, it lasts 30-40 seconds. Every single A25A does it.
