Chicagoland Heat - 2025 350h - AC
Had a scorcher today and the next two days will be the hottest of the year for us. How are those NX hybrids at putting out cold air in the cabin?
They handle the Texas heat in the high 90's low 100's. you should be okay.

Cold Air
Current observation
RS Focus - Immediate cold air. Ford has the best cold air of any car vendor ( just not quite as good at other features, e.g. luxury, excluding performance)
NX, RAV4, Prius - hybrids - cold air within 15-30 seconds
Avalon Hybrid - Cold air sucks for the first 2 minutes, then good.
On some cars, ECO mode seems to shunt/delay/minimize HVAC including Cold air. On 2022 NX 350h even in ECO mode very cold air comes in 15-30 seconds.

Yeah depends on what mode you are using, I am always on ECO and everything cooling down just fine, the cooling seats I think help, and they pretty much cool your back instantaneous, then it may take a little while for the whole cabin to cool down, but it is fine with me. You can always disable the climate concierge and just manually blast the AC
