Ignition Issue or Starter Issue? Need Advices
Hi Guys,
Hope yall having good summer time.
This is my second year as an LC500 owner, and I've just logged 8,000 miles. I recently returned to Texas after a long work travel (10 weeks). Before I left, to prevent battery goes bad, I connected a trickle charger to the battery in the trunk to ensure the battery's health during 10 weeks without driving. As expected, the battery was not died, but on my first start after returning, my car made at least 2 seconds of crank noise before starting. This issue only occurred on the first start each day during the first week, but after the first week, I started hearing 1-2 seconds of crank sound almost every time I start the car. It no longer starts immediately as it did before I left.
Does anyone have any good suggestions? My Lexus dealer is a bit far from me, so I want to find the simplest way to determine if it's a battery issue, a starter problem, or if anyone has other ideas. Thanks!

If you did not, have you added any new gas since you've been back?

An LC500 is an extremely advanced high performance V8 that generates more HP than many of it's turbocharged competitors. Your concern needs to be addressed by the Lexus Dealership. It might be a problem with the fuel, or it's possible the negative battery terminal needed to be removed before connecting the battery maintainer? It's a complex vehicle, and you should just take to the dealer when convenient. The problem could go away on its own, or it could worse. And anything you do to solve this, could make it harder for the dealer to diagnose.

Hi Flowrider, thanks for the reply, no I didn't add anything to the fuel. this is my full tank before my left, but I did add more fuel 2 days ago. could it be relevant?
