My 23 old son needed a car mostly to commute to his new job and going out. I told him buy only a reliable Japanese car but he bought a brand new 2024 Ford Mustang Ecoboost. I am impressed with the car so far.

Handling, power, exhaust sound but the big surprise was the technology. Two screens with 13.2 inch for the middle one and almost every driver assistance technology available by other manufacturers. Ford did its marketing homework for the millennials.

What do you think overall about the 2024 Mustang?

They Camaro-ized this version, but I think that is a good thing. Overall, it's a slick package.

Congratulations to your son....and good luck with it. Mustangs attract young men like bees to honey. They were the original American pony car in 1964, and will probably be the last American pony car since the Camaro is not out of production and the Challenger will probably also soon be.

I'd strongly recommend showing him some videos of young men driving their Mustangs like idiots, losing control, spinning out, and causing accidents. Hopefully he has enough sense to avoid becoming one of them.

Is the Mustang Mach E just the EV version of this car?

I've seen several Maxh E's driving around lately but haven't seen a new Mustang like this in a while.

The Mach E and the Mustang are completely unrelated. It was a mistake to call Mach E a Mustang in the first place.
