I scoured the internet for an answer to this, but couldn't find the answer. Does anyone know if the liftgate struts from a regular rx350 would work on my 2018 L model? The part numbers are different, but I can't imagine toyota would use a different part for the L model.

I think the back doors have a different weight, different balance. The wiper motor is located in the top of the RX350 back door. On the RX350L the wiper assembly is below the glass, seems the door is shaped differently for more third row head clearance.

Oh interesting, I didn't know they were that different. All of the vendors I contacted told me it wouldn't work as well.
