GX 470 goes off when I'm at a stop sign/traffic /idling
I recently changed my gearbox...I noticed the transfer case shift **** whines and vibrates when I'm idling.and the engines goes off afterwards. This happens after about 20 - 30 minutes of driving with the AC on. If I start the truck and shift to park with the AC on, the engine temperature starts rising and the AC stops getting cold. Please Help.. ANYONE... I've spent a lot of money on this truck and I've been dealing with this for about 6 months now.. 😭😭😭😭

1. If you turn the heat on, does it blow hot air on you?
2. Is there any coolant in the overflow bottle? (white plastic bottle on the top of the radiator with a short curved hose coming out of it)
3. What color is that coolant?
4. Has the water pump been changed, and when?
Chip H.

I went for a drive today in the truck.. I drove with the AC off... My observations ;
1- the transfer case shift **** started vibrating and whining after about 40 minutes of driving. The truck's engine went off afterwards.
2 - the engine temperature increases when I'm idling and reduces when I'm in motion.
HELP anybody 😭😭😭

I've looked into the thermostat... I changed the thermostat a couple months ago... Replaced it again on Saturday... Took out the thermostat and drove the Truck without the thermostat... The truck still overheats at idle... The engine temperature increases and the transmission temperature also overheats... Happened about 30 minutes ago...
Note : I hear a whirring /whining noise from the transfer case/front differential area when I'm idling.

Stalling happened to me and ended up being the MAF sensor, and its wild is it won't throw codes, if its dirty and thinks you aren't getting any air it will cut the gas... maf sensor cleaner fixed stalling I had that got progressively worse, clean the throttle body while you're at it, maf sensor is on the intake air filter box and takes 2 screws to remove, spray it with cleaner a few times and let it dry and see, also inspect your engine air filter, had starting and stalling issues before and it ended up being the engine air filter was clogged, either clean it or preferably replace it as they are cheap, most parts stores have combo deal with cabin air filter which is worth it if youve never changed that either as the ac will blow stronger and cleaner. Id definitely clean maf sensor and engine air filter first. Is it showing a check engine light?
I guess I just saw the title and didn't realize you sre having transfer case and overheating issues, maf sensor is more like it will stall at low rpms, still worth a shot but sounds like you have other issues.
