Rust near IS500 exhaust pipes (see pictures)
I picked up a CPO IS500 yesterday and after looking around at the exhaust pipes area I noticed there were some areas that were looking rusty (see attached photos for reference). Does anyone know if these are okay to be rusty or if I should mention something to the dealer? Kind of hard to imagine that they would miss this during the CPO inspection and not deem it concerning, but just curious if anyone else's looks like this.
The car was clearly not given much TLC by the 1st owner, but I am looking to make sure it's given the proper care it deserves!

Pretty odd to see that much rust on a 3 year old car, but my F-150 was the same age when I bought it and the rust was far worse.
Some rust on the exhaust hangers will be normal, but it looks like something bent the body metal above the muffler which caused the paint to crack and rust to start. If you look at the bottom of the muffler you might find a huge scrape where it bottomed out.

The heat shield/bracket is rusting out, was made with inferior metal unfortunately. 17509-38050 looks to be about $65 online could buy one and protect with a high quality paint.

How do you abuse a car to make it rust drive in the ocean?

You can still see some grey paint on those rusty hangers.
