Ever so slight high-pitched electric noise
Hey everyone,
I have a question about the RX450h.Currently, I have a 2006 RX400h and I'm looking to upgrade to the RX450h. While test driving a 2013 facelifted RX, I noticed a high-pitched electric noise when accelerating from a standstill or when leaving a roundabout. It lasts only for a couple of seconds after pressing the gas pedal, and it's very faint but it's there alright.
I initially thought it might be an issue with that particular car, but I test drove another one and heard the same noise.
Coming from an RX400h, I'm used to some noises here and there from the hybrid system, but this high-pitched sound would be a dealbreaker for me, unfortunately.
Is this normal hybrid system noise for this generation? That would be a shame because I like all other aspects of the car.
