Wife mistakenly added diesel to RX500h
Help, American Lexus 2023, RX500h, because of adding the wrong diesel, I have cleaned all the oil lines and the engine, and now the 4s shop told me that my battery is dead and I need to replace it at my own expense, which costs 16,000 US dollars. I can't afford it, and I don't quite understand why the battery is scrapped. I called the headquarters to ask why refueling would directly scrap the battery. Their headquarters staff couldn't explain it at all, and told me that it was my own problem. My car has now run 19,000 kilometers, and it is a scrapped car. BMW and Mercedes-Benz of the same price have not been scrapped after adding the wrong fuel. I urge everyone to buy Lexus with caution! Be cautious, cautious, cautious, you can't make mistakes when driving this kind of car, mistakes are equivalent to scrapping! I will take responsibility for my mistakes, and tell you from personal experience not to buy Lexus, she can't give us guarantees and technical answers! It's a pity.

Sorry to hear this, but I suspect their are additional circumstances involved either you don't know about or are not being told here.
Where are you located? In the US, diesel gas pump nozzles are sized larger and don't fit in the gas filler neck of petrol vehicles, so you've really got to try hard to get diesel in there with a fuel funnel or something.
Just curious, have also filled up gas versions of BMW and Mercedes with diesel fuel to have the same experience dealing with this issue or know someone that has? That's some bad luck.

I doubt you can fit a diesel nozzle in a gas car anywhere in the world. In most countries fuel is not even self service and the lowest paid attendant would not put diesel on a car with gasoline. As far as the HV battery, a almost new 2023 battery can stay discharged for at least 9-12 months and then charged again at the dealer with their Toyota/Lexus hybrid charger without need to replace it. I do not believe the posted story.
