Default QuickJack

Good morning,

I just purchased a 2014 GS350 AWD FSport. I do all my own maintenance. This car is a bit lower than my previous vehicles. Has anyone used a Quickjack on these cars. Not a lot of room under there. I love this car BTW. It has been a certified used all its life and appears to have been maintained very well according to Lexus Drive and the dealer.

Thanks for looking.

That should be a start and congrats on the acquisition!

Thanks East. I haven't got the search method down yet. Well I may go back to my idea of putting a 2X6 under the front tires so I can drive it up my trusty ramps. And jack stands for brakes etc. The QJ might work and the issues are all the same that I have seen about QJ. The GS has all that FSport coolness and plastic down low. LOL

First and foremost CONGRATS! My perspective as I went down a similar path with the QJ’s. Really wanted them to start but the cost got to me. The route I went was Racce Ramps Wheel Cribs. I got the 12” and a low profile creeper off Amazon and I haven plenty of clearance. Cost was a fraction obviously. I loved the QJ’s but they do impede a lot of space maneuverability. Ramps aren’t cheap but multiple projects later I love them. Just an alternate option to consider.

Thanks Chris. That was another option I was looking at. I appreciate the advice from the group.

Chris, The 4 jack points on the car are very small at a pinch weld. They are a bit beat up I am assuming from the dealer. How do you raise the car to get the wheel cribs in. A floor jack, short piece of 2X2 and luck. LOL!

There is also available the two jack points outlined in the owners manual. One for the front (lifts the hole front) and one for the rear. Here's from a 2018 manual, not sure if 2014 is any different.
It's easier to do if you drive the car on wood, but doable without it.

Thanks Chris,

The car did not come with the owners book but I downloaded one and will look through the "new" one I found on EBay. I am totally OCD about maintenance hence probably why my beater Subaru has 310,000 Miles. I'll get that little girl up in the air somehow.
