Fast Turn Signal Blinker

Fast Turn Signal Blinker
So I've searched this forum and I didn't notice anything that my friend is experiencing. People have trouble with hyper blinking but only when they upgrade to LED turn signal. However, my friend has a 2012 IS250 and his turn signals are blinking really fast with his stock bulbs not LED. Does anyone know how this can be fixed.
PS: When he turns his emergency lights on they work normally, they only blink fast when he turns on the turn signals.

This sounds like a symptom of a turn signal bulb(s) is about to go out/become faulty. The bulb does not have to be complety out for this to happen, granted nothing is wrong with the wiring. Replacing one of the turn singnal bulb(s) would and should fix this problem. Most of the time its hard to tell which bulb is out so you may have to just pull each bulb out one by one and examine the bulb(s) looking for any discoloration and replacing the worn out bulb or you could do the trial and error method and replace each bulb one by one untill the fast/hyper blinking stops.

OK to clear things up let me just say that my friend got the car hit from the auction. He didn't know if it came with the LED headlights or the halogen ones, so he went ahead and bought a set of used HID LED headlights. Now his turn signals blink really fast, and his DRL LEDs aren't on all the time only when he switches it to on position. Can missing the flasher relay cause this to happen?

I'm experiencing the same thing. Though I have aftermarket headlights, and taillights. The taillights have been on the car for 5 years the headlights 2 years. Driver side started hyper flashing last night. All bulbs are good on all 4 corners. Just for some odd reason I get hyper flash turn signal now.

I'm guessing a bulb is failing but has failed completely. Its basically saying its not drawing enough current to heat the bi-metalic switch hot enough to create the proper delay.
Did you replace the bulbs at either or both ends and same result?

Just so we are all on the same page, all four corners have incandescent bulbs for turn indicators and its an OEM flasher module?

Edit: Everything works as it should while hazards are on.

The rear lights are the VipMoto Z. They're full led, and front are also the VipMoto Z headlights. With incandescent single turn signal just like the 2011+ headlights. Yes turn signal bulbs were changed out to Sylvania amber bulbs about 4 months ago. Since I was removing my led drl bulbs. Yeah it's definitely a load issue somewhere. My first guess is the front incandescent bulbs. Since it rained over the weekend not sure if water made itself into the connector. Though I have to remove my front bumper again for the millionth time lol to check. No condensation in the headlights either.

As for the spec-d headlights call for a PY21W bulb..... Supposedly the US equivalent is a 7507 bulb. I'll have to stop by the autoparts store tonight.
