RX450h Mileage Thread
Last week I traded my '13 Rxh for the new '16 Rxh. Previously, if I really babied it (accelerate slowly, coast as much as I could, etc) I got it up to 30.5 for a whole tank (once). Mostly it was around 28. My first tank in the '16 Rxh was 30.4. Now I'm on my 2nd tank, have not tried at all to maximize mileage and I'm at 30.8 on this tank...makes me wonder how high I could get it if I really babied it! Sweet!

I could care less about mpgs just as long as my RXh keeps me away from the pump longer then i am happy.
How many miles per tank do you get on your RXh? Cruising Range.

No, I don't play soccer!
I have to agree, most of us don't buy hybrids for mileage alone. Still I'll be curious to see if there's a difference. The '16 has a few extra HP and pounds. I'm picking up my 450h F-Sport next week and will report back.
John, do you want to start a mileage thread for the 4RXh? I'll make it a sticky.

I don't buy hybrids for the mileage only. Mostly I like the idea of being a little more green, I like the quiet when I stop and I like the fact that almost everything on the vehicle is electric. That means the AC works just as well at a stop light as it does on the highway. BTW I'm at 31.6 and not even half way thru the 2nd tank!
Anita, do I need to start another thread?

John, I can rename this one to the 450h Mileage thread if you want. We could use one now that a few members have ithe RXh

I reset Trip B to see how many miles I actually get on this 3rd tank.

1) What is your drive like in terms of hills, turns, etc.?
2) How much Highway vs. City driving?
3) What Octane Level gasoline?
4) Are you on Eco, Normal or Sport Mode?
5) What outdoor temperatures and weather are you driving in?
6) When you say "normally", what do you mean? Some people are just unconsciously good/environmentally friendly drivers! My normal driving is still able to beat EPA, while my Dad is way below! Are you regenerating as much as possible? Is your acceleration in the PWR range or ECO range?
I'll have to read up on some hybrid ECO tips as our RX will be our first hybrid!

I live in Houston so it's mostly flat with a few small hills. My daily drive is streets to work and highway home, highway to church on Sunday. I burn premium 93 octane and am almost always in normal drive mode. I'm almost always in the PWR range when accelerating. Overall I would say I'm a fairly friendly driver.

Also, the fact you're getting such great MPG in a mix of city and highway is amazing!
Thanks for the update!
