Hello everyone!

I want to buy used GS350 AWD '12-'13 and I'm choosing between 2 cars (both AWD) - one with the Luxury packet, another with the F-sport package. I really like the car with the Luxury packet more (color, complectation, mileage), but the car with the F-sport packet handles better! And handling is important to me, as for the past 7 years I drove sport-tuned Infiniti G35x '08 sedan, sometimes going to track.

I investigated, that Luxury and F-sport cars have the same spring and shock absorbers (part-numbers match), but they have different ECUs for steering and absorber control (part-numbers are on the pictures).





I beleive, these ECUs contain "special F-sport tuning", so in sport s+ mode wheel gets harder and shocks stiffer. The same thing is done retrofitting IS-F steering ECU to the IS250/350.

ABS/VSC ECU is the same, but maybe the main ECU would need some F-sport tweaks (though, I couldnt find the main ECU on schemes and check the partnumbers)?

i have the luxury package, when in S+ shocks, engine, transmission and steering are all changed just like the Fsport. the biggest difference i believe is the Fsport comes with 19in wheels and wider tires.

Well, I searched all the topics here about Luxury vs. F-sport differences and found the video from the official Lexus presentation that on F-sport models (both RWD and AWD) adaptive suspension works differently (faster, though a little bit stiffer) than on Luxury models. And some people wrote, that steering is stiffer too on F-sport models (in S+ mode).

Lexus' brochure specifically mentions "F-sport tuned AVS" compared to the Luxury package only having "AVS." i.e. I agree you're on to something, though I haven't yet heard of anybody who's done that swap nor what the exact differences are.

could be because of the wheel setup, i'm on 20's now with lower profile tires and steering is stiffer then with my stock wheels.

I did it. Replaced my 2013 Luxury AVS ECU 89243-30200 w 89243-30210 that was $50 on ebay.

My quick test drive was enough to confirm no errors or issues on changing modes but too much traffic to validate any meaningful change.

So I placed a order for the 89243-30211 for the F Sport today to try and swap upgrade my 13 GS350 Lux. Looked up the part fit and one site says 2014 - 2018 GS350 F Sport. Another says its for the 2013 - 2016 F Sport?

Did you get to see if you felt any difference yet?

Anyone know where this Steering ECU is? I looked under the Hood and could not find it anywhere? Is it underneath the engine bay, or inside the car?

Is it up under the pass side glove box?
