Automatic rev match on downshift
I drove a 2018 RC350 F-Sport a couple of weeks ago and the automatic rev match was very nice. I noticed my 2015 RC350 F-Sport does not do it. Even if I put the car in Sport+ and turn the traction control off.
Does anyone know what year this came in and whether it could be available as a software update?

Apparently this thread has been discussed before.

It seems the throttle only blips on downshift when in manual mode and is most noticeable at higher rpm.
Edit: Depending on model year.

I really loved it in my 2013 BRZ auto and I am missing it on my 2015 RC350 F Sport.
One problem with this forum is that it includes all versions of RC. Misunderstandings can occur when people post without stating what RC model they are talking about.
I don't want people getting cranked about posting procedures or new rules but, when reading a post that could be interpreted differently for your particular RC model give it some thought. I've been racing and downshifting all week, trying to get throttle blip that doesn't exist in my 2015.

Both cars I drove were 8SP RWD. AWD is not available in my country. I presume you have the 6 speed since your in Canada?
My car will feel like it is rev matching under hard braking when the torque converter has unlocked but that doesn't really count. There is no blipping when driving at a constant or normal speed. The 2018 model did. Lexus have been advertising the rev matching for the 2019 model.
I could find any reviewers who mention it for 2018 or earlier models.
I watched Savagegeese's review and Engineering Explained. You can see them down shift to second gear with the paddle shifters in manual mode. Though it's easy to feel when driving, I not experienced enough to determine if the car is blipping over video.

Well this is embarrassing. I managed to get the car to blip on downshifts today even with no pedal input. I was previously in sport and manual but wasn't driving aggressive enough. I was expecting the car to just be in sport mode but I have to drive aggressively to change the shift logic.
