Default Getting rid of faint blemishes above glove compartment

Do you have a suggestion removing faint blemishes above the glove compartment in ES350 Sport? I tried several dash cleaners/protectors but could not resolved the issue.

Adam's Interior Detailer works wonders on that part of the dashboard.

I don't know what the dash material is made of, but it is very susceptible to marking and scratches. It wasn't this way in gen 6 vehicles, I never experienced it in my 2013...
In addition the marks are very difficult to remove or even hide. I owned my 2013 for 6 years and never applied anything to the dash except water and it cleaned everything. I found that once you start applying chemicals such as Armorall, 303 protectorant or maybe even Adam's - have no knowledge about Adam's - onto your dash you must continue. I made a complaint to Lexus about it shortly after getting my new car because it was so prevalent and they answered with a bunch of BS that I must be doing something to get scratches and marks.

GOOD LUCK removing them and if you find something that actually works, let us know...

I've had very good luck using Formula 303 on similar blemishes in that same location.

The Adams is amazing. Give it a try. That material easily scuffs.

Meguiar's has some pretty good interior cleaners that I've been impressed with. The All Purpose Cleaner is awesome, but you have to be careful to dilute it properly. It's pretty nasty stuff at full strength!

I have a 2021 ES 300H and simply wiped a spot on the dash with a dry microfiber cloth, and you can see in the picture how it turned out. Did anyone have any luck with the products below removing the scuffs? I've only had my car for three months, so I don't want it looking like this.

It appears there is no permanent solution to this due to the materials of the dashboard. You can only use product that moisturized and temporarily hide it. They will eventually re-appear once the product dries out.

This is absolutely correct. My car will be 3 years old in December of this year. I still have marks on the dash from when it was a month old in 2018. The marks will not come off but can be hidden by using one of the alleged cleaners such as 303, Adam's, Armorall, or any other silicone cover up that merely hides the damage as Ionian states. The scratches or abrasions reappear when the solution dries... Very poor material by Lexus... My wife's $30k Honda dash looks like new after 7 years... Go figure...

Yup the dashboard in that spot and the front cover marks EASILY. If your eyeballs even LOOK at it, a scratch will appear that no product can take out. I would've told all of you day 1 that no product removes scuffs or scratches. The scratches you see are mechanical in nature.

I feel in the future Lexus will recall these pieces as they did with the 2IS dash and door panels. We should do a nhtsa complaint. I'm not usually a car karen but these particular dash pieces are ridiculous.

Just getting out of my 2nd ES this morning with a perfectly virgin dashboard, i made some light marks on it as I touched the dash when putting up my sun screen... i was like oh crap.. now i need to devise a masterful plan to wipe these scuffs without doing more damage.

Just like you on my first ES, merely wiping it with a microfiber scuffed it.

When my first ES was new, it had scuffs on it from the factory workers installing it. You could clearly see two fingerprints where they pushed it into place (it snaps in). So the dealer's top detailer spent an hour using a million products and merely made it fainter, but still visible when the sun hit it.

Luckily that very front piece is easily replaceable and snaps into place. The airbag cover too I would *assume*. They can't be that expensive. But yes the material sucks. Be careful cleaning your windshield too.. sweeping from the inside will result in marks and prints.

My CT200h dashboard looked immaculate and didn't mark marr or scratch no matter what you did to it.

LOL. Recently I came so close to scratching my dashboard when putting on a new sun screen on windshield. I was trying out a screen where it folds / unfolds like umbrella and comes with all the metal hangers like a typical umbrella. It was very close call and as soon as I realized it took it off right away and gave it to my wife to be used on her car that doesn't have the scratchy proned dashboard. Looking back I dodged the bullet as I got this car used and lucky it wasn't scratched and covered up with some product.

Well that's what "scratched" (marked) my dash, a CARDBOARD sun screen which I use to preserve the Aniline Leather seats... And in my wife's car, a Honda, she uses the sunscreen every day and not a mark...

I guess no good deeds goes unpunished on the current generation of ES. Perhaps this is an opportunity for some after-market cover solution or something. A shame the mid cycle refresh Lexus hasn't remediated the issue. I am guessing we are the minority of car karens !
