Climate control delay
My 2013 RX 350 has about a 1 minute delay after car is started before the climate conrols become operational. Does anyone know what the cause may be?

pbrown110 - Thanks for joining and posting on CL. I doubt the OP will respond or even looks at this site any longer. He made 2 posts over a year ago and has been silent since then.
You may want to try some searches on this issue.
However, if your system does work after the minute, then I suspect all is normal and it just takes that long for it to boot up after the engine is running. I think my Lexus and Toyota vehicles behave the same way.
As recommended above, you may want to have your refrigerant level checked.

Regarding the fan speed when needing heat in cold weather, the HVAC system does
not turn the fan up when the recently started engine is still cold and the heater core
has no hot coolant (oxymoron?) to supply heat. Once the temp gauge moves up a
bit you will hear and feel the fan ramp up and blow warm air. Note: some of our Hybrids
have an electric grid heater box that permits a quicker response for the heater and defroster.

Hi, and thanks for the welcome!!
I've had 7 years of completely trouble free usage out of my 2010 RX350. However, in the last few days the car is behaving differently than it has for the last 7 years
When I start my car, the auto climate light is lit as is normal,... but nothing happens for a long time. After 45 seconds or a minute, the light goes off and and a message pops up on the nav screen that says "fan off". At that point I can turn the climate on, but the temp has been reset to 75 degrees.
I gather that before the climate system starts up there is some sensor that the car is looking for a correct status report from, and when it doesn't find it it, it shuts the system off. One it has been turned off, then you can turn it back on and override the system - I can change the settings and the temp control will set the system into running condition. But even then, every so often I notice that the auto light has gone off.
I have ordered the hardware and software, so hopefully I'll be able to pull any codes related to this soon .
But I was hoping that someone else had already gone through this and had a ready solution!
Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
Phillip

I believe you are indeed correct - my "new" Techstream software shows a code of B1443, which leads me in that direction.
Any good sources for a non-oem (i.e. less expensive) quality servo to purchase?

Probably a good idea, unless I look at the installation and decide it will be something I'm willing to replace again when it fails (i.e., I have no problem with a non-OEM gas cap, because if it fails - I can swap it our in seconds)

So, anyone have a good link to a diagram or video that shows where the mode servo is located in the 2010 RX350? All the things I find are for different Lexus models...
