Picked up the vehicle From Lexus Of Santa Barbara

Got the car all wet on the first day. *it was raining pretty hard that day

100 miles on the ODO already, well on the way to breaking in the motor!

had to get mile 106 documented as well to commemorate number 106/500 Launch Edition model

Taped up the car as a precaution for the long 400 mile drive back home from Southern California to Northern California

yup gas is expensive in California

First Mod, changed out the incandescent light bulbs throughout the car

Went with these
Alopee 195 LED bulbs found on Amazon https://amzn.to/3F9YPpb
White 6500K temperature color.
Pretty happy with the Color of them and the brightness

Some mock up and planning teaser

Interesting discovery
Found out the false floor in the trunk seems to be "raised" slightly vs 2014-2020 floor. This was a bad sign that my Subwoofer enclosure I made for my previous build will not fit

Ripped the false raised floor piece in the quarter panel corner to attempt to try my subwoofer enclosure. Looks like I will have to scrap this idea of reusing this. Likely will sell this off I guess

Very excited for this build! Might take the sub/enclosure off your hands if you do

Tease of what's to come
Some of the items I have been slowly collecting prior to delivery of the car

Front RCF Caliper in orange

a used set of Airlift Struts with very low miles on them

and the plan is to reutilize my previous Air Suspension trunk setup

I’m excited for this. That’s unfortunate you can’t use your old sub enclosure.

What do you speculate will be needed to install the calipers?

Front should be a bolt-on affair
For the rear, rear bracket adapter needed, @350phi makes this. https://www.350phi.com/gsf.html

The pain point will be the electronic parking brake system. No solution out currently.
  • We'll have to figure something out either just disable it and trick the electronic system so no error on instrument cluster (and along with it, potentially go back to mechanical cable Pedal Parking Brake )
  • or Retrofit some other fashion of electronic parking brake actuator

Putting in some time on the car today

Couldn't help but take this photo of the RCF/GSF calipers alongside ISF calipers while i was packing them up. Too epic

Wanted to finally unbox/inspect the Orange Calipers I've picked up a while ago.

Moving along, I had a Roof spoiler (same style as one I had on previous car) for a 3IS laying around the garage and decided to put it up against the glass and notice that the glass even has changed in part number. The Roof spoiler does not contour with it at all.

Time to tear the vehicle apart to start mocking up stuff

Another interesting thing, on this Launch Edition there seem some gloss in the Incognito color paint made it into the interior. I dont recall my last vehicle having any gloss inside at all. Interesting find.

Porting over my Brackets and modified panels to hold my Air Suspension Tank over to this car. Everything successfully went back in without a hitch. Was concerned before taking the vehicle apart that the threaded provision holes that I used previous may be missing. Luckily it was all there just like on the older car. Plastic trim panel that I modified looks to be exactly the same as well so that easily swapped right over. This time the trunk setup is going quicker as I do not have to do any fabrication.

Grabbed my old Cusco Strut Bar to see if it clears the 2UR-GSE engine and the Hood. It totally clears! One bracket has to be slightly loosen so that it can clear.
If anybody is curious, Cusco 983 540 A Strut Bar - Type OS

In for the build. Enjoyed the last one. Looking forward to seeing how this new one progresses.

Nice shot comparing the IS F and RC F brakes. Really like how you mount/float your air tank so it doesn't hamper the remaining trunk space, and it keeps the pass-through portion functional.
