I possibly found another Battery alternative (12v)
So everyone here is aware at this point of the pain of battery replacement. Not only needing an AGM, but also one that's small enough to fit (since many AGMs are massive).
We have the OEM Panasonic battery, and the Optima Yellow Tops.
What about this one: https://www.autozone.com/batteries-s...cca/377104_0_0
I saw this in an Autozone the other day, and saw that it was the correct Group, adequate CCAs, and just by sight - seemed to be kind of right for the HS. Can anyone smarter than me confirm or reject this?

According to the Autozone database it does not fit the HS250h. Just buy the OEM battery. You will probably only need to buy one 12 volt battery for the life of the vehicle as they appear to last around 9 years.

As for Autozones/Advance Auto compatibility tables - most mechanics will tell you that they miss a ton of models - that's why you focus on the spec for hard-to-find parts.
You and I both know that this car sits on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of the number of available parts - a lot of owners need options.

28800-28100 Genuine Lexus Battery (lexuspartsnow.com)

I put a 12 volt lead acid battery in my Lexus. It has only been a week since installing the battery. I measured the old battery and found one that fit at OReillys auto parts. I cut some of the black material that hides the battery so there would be proper ventilation. So far car runs great, no more alarms to park on flat surface.

For my fellow Canadians in Ontario, I've got great news!
Since my battery died recently and having a hard time finding batteries, I decided to try the size 51R AGM battery at Canadian tire. It felt like I won the lottery when I found it on clearance for $140CDN and the vent fits the original plug perfectly (had a notched hole).
Only mods were to get the 2x4 lumber to fill the empty space on the side and some on the bottom.
Here's the link to it: https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/m...p.0105120.html
It's on clearance at a few locations (Oakville and also Burlington).

He is in Canada and if you are in the US then that battery may not be available here.
By the way..
You don't want to run a lead acid battery in your trunk. The fumes are trapped. It is not safe, that is why Lexus used the battery they selected.
Get an AGM or the correct battery as this is the only time you will have to replace it.

hello, my wife car 2010 hs250h 12v battery died about 2 years ago and we replaced it with a Duracell battery similar to the one you found at Autozone. We found out the battery will work fine but the oem battery mounting hardware may not fit the aftermarket battery. I had to use wire ties to secure the new battery. But it saved some money going to Advanced Auto! I hope this helps!

FYI - Geoman posted that one time in 2022 and has never returned to this forum. You will never learn from him what battery he got at Wal-Mart. You may be able to figure it out based on the dimensions listed above, but it will take some work on your part.
I would ust get the OEM battery as indicated above. This will be the only time you have to replace it.
