What's going on Club Lexus crew, I recently picked up a '18 IS300 F-Sport AWD in NGP in January after my G37 was rear ended and written off right before Christmas. I wasn't planning on doing too much to the IS but after browsing through different threads on this forum I have now been inspired to give it more character.
Feel free to let me know what your thoughts are on the mods as I'm open to feedback and always looking for new ideas. My goal is to keep the ride tasteful and avoid anything tacky and to share my experience with you as I'm sure I will be making mistakes along the way.
Been waiting for the weather to warm up as I'm in Canada, got my OEM rear diffuser painted gloss black for now. I'm scheduled in a few weeks to get my roof wrapped in 3M gloss black along with the window trim, front grill trim, and lower vents. Hoping the results come out good!
Went with pearl black OEM emblems instead of wrapping or painting the existing ones. My wrap shop mentioned those options don't last too long and this was the best way to go. I also now have an extra OEM F-Sport trunk badge if anyone is interested in the Greater Toronto Area (it was part of the emblem package). Will be swapping them out after the car is paint corrected and ceramic coated.
Front lip, side skirts and rear spats painted in gloss black to match the rest of the gloss black parts. Having them ceramic coated and then installed later.
A few more parts came in today. Called my shop and will be installing these on Wednesday. I wouldn't have known about the stock LCA bushing issues if it wasn't for CL so I'm glad I browsed around the different 3IS threads. Also looking forward to how the new F-Sport intake will sound!
Ordered the RC F/ GS F bushings from an eBay seller in Japan. Local Lexus dealerships were charging way too much so make sure to shop around.
@hindred Thank you, I'm not confident in open cone intakes blocking debris from the engine so I went with the F-Sport...and also I still have a few years left on my warranty and don't want to mess anything up. I'll let you know how it sounds after the install!
Picked up some carbon fiber parts after work today. Went with replacement mirror covers instead of mirror caps along with a bolt on rear diffuser and trunk spoiler. Having them ceramic coated before installation. Hoping the fitment is on point 🤞🏻
Had some time yesterday to install the CF replacement mirror covers, LED puddle lights and smoked sequential turn signals. Fitment on the mirror covers was 8.5/10, the weave looks great. The sequential turn signals came out better than expected.

Nice, how was the process to tap in for the puddle light?

@CASeoul thanks man, it's plug and play, just remove the old halogen bulb from it's housing and pop in the new LED. the tedious part is removing the mirror to get access to the housing but after that it's a breeze. you can check out this video at 1:35 mark to see the process.
Got a chance to see the 2 stage paint correction, IGL Kenzo ceramic coating along with the full front end Xpel PPF last night. Also installed the CF trunk spoiler while I was there. Here are some quick pics I took. I'll be picking it up tomorrow after the ceramic top coat is fully cured and will post some better pics.
