It seems one of the mod's isn't a fan of the ES. We had a sticky in the 6th gen forum that was pretty active. They just decided to lock it one day with no explanation.

The only sticky thread here is the intro thread. Some people like to post pic's of their rides in a single thread to show off mods they performed, or against a nice backdrop. As was mentioned by the OP, it's common for other models on the forum, just not the ES.

For all intents and purposes, though, that thread is used for photos. The title just doesn't reflect it. Mods could retitle the thread to "New Member Intros & Photos Thread"
Over on another forum I was in, we'd have stickies periodically tidied up and re-titled/re-labled and reshuffled as necessary as time went on. We don't seem to have that here. Each sub also had distinct leadership/mods that were actively involved. I don't really see that here in this sub. I think mods from other subs periodically do stuff here if there's a report. But other than that, what you see is what you get for the most part.
The sticky is a dedicated welcome thread for new members joining to introduce themselves (and post a photo if they want), not an ongoing ‘post a picture of your ES today’.

I probably meant "what you did for your ES today" thread (which is usually stickied btw). That's where I've been posting photos, anyway. Sure, every forum sub typically has a super dedicated "photos" thread.

I suspect it was accidentally closed and no one ever reported or mentioned it, I can’t find any reason. The mod who closed hasn’t been online in a couple of years (and will be leaving the moderator role soon) or would ask. So just reopened it, get busy posting more pics!
