Just checked in and posted on CL and then MBWorld which still has the old layout, the old way is much better.
Yeah even if the pull down was on the same side of the page (left side) as the threads that would be an improvement. Part of the frustration is having to go all the way over to the right side of the page to click it.
so looking at the user menu more vs. the top bar...
steve - subscribed threads is in user menu so no need to go to user control panel in between.
why have new posts in user menu when it's in top bar?
user control panel, my profile, edit signature, edit your details, edit options, etc. are all in user control panel... why have all those in the menu too?
why is the menu all upper case?
why not have subscribed threads and new posts under the forums top bar menu?
steve - about usercp - you just double click lower part of your username and it will launch usercp which is first item in menu!

"all the way" - do you have a 49" ultrawide monitor?
settings controls are often on the right of UIs or in a menu on the right (e.g., chrome).
microsoft also makes it very confusing in 365 by having to click File and at the bottom of the menu there's Options and Account.
