Default Question for the moderators

Greetings,

Is there any way that we can sticky or archive these "Calling all Blue GS'!", etc. threads? I for one can never remember the exact wording of these thread titles and it would be nice to have them located somewhere that is easy to find.

My $.02.

Thanks,
Patrick

Would be hard to make ALL the color threads sticky , the entire first page would be a sticky page

Agreed, that's why it might be nice to have these archived somewhere that is also easy to find.

Good idea Pat, when we finally get around to rolling out our 2GS FAQ section (I hope to have time over the Christmas holiday to do this) I'll add a FAQ with links to all the different 'best color' picture threads.

It's really pretty easy to find them using advanced search tool though...

1) Go to advanced search:
2) put "silver" (for example) in key word and select the 'search thread titiles only" option
3) Select the GS300/400/430 main forum in the search in forums, and click 'off' the search in child forums
4) in search options choose sort results by number of views or number of replies (both would work because these threads have a lot of replies and a lot of people looking at them).

No, we won't sticky them - too cluttered, too many colors. Interest flows and ebbs with these threads every 6mos - 1 year or so.

It also helps to encourage people to use the gallery for threads such as this since the pics will be there if you want to view them.

or if you had previously posted in them

Just goto Tool/Forum Options/ List Subscriptions and go through your list of what you had posted on.

Or you could create a folder in your Favorites/Bookmarks and throw them all in there. All it would take is a one time search through to find them all. That's what I do when I read pages on CL that I think I may need/want to revisit down the line, saves that time searching for them later on.

Both good suggestions, but remember that if they are not hosted here, chances are they will not be hosted in the thread the next time you look 6 months from now.
