Lol, I agree.
I'm actually in the process of creating a new FAQ sticky which will simply link to some of the (older but still very informative) sticky posts and then un-stick 'em.
I'm also assembling a list of 'best of' links for the post to link in the FAQ as well, so if you have nominations for posts you've found very useful please post 'em up!
Examples:
