Default all these people asking redundant questions...what to do? what to do?

What should we do?...it's getting annoying to see new threads everyday asking the same things over and over...

so what would fellow CL'ers do?

The first thing we'd do is put it in site suggestions like we are supposed to do.

i personally think there is not much we can do on this. New comer people probably won't have time to search first or don't even know how to search, especially those people who are new with "forum" or "message board".

And we as a CL member should be nice to those "new comer" people who ask the same question that already being covered a bunch of times before.

What I usually did just replied "Please use search function, here some post that I found : url, url, url"

All I can say :
Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.

there should be a direct link once they sign up for the first time explaining to them how to use the search button.

if you've noticed its been there 50th question on stuff that could be easily searched with one or two words, TELL THEM TO SEARCH!

otherwise, a nice 'heres what i searched for, and what i got, next time you try it' note.

my idea
