i think that there should be a couple of things added to the forums.
one, you should have date and time of the original post right next to the thread starters name, (would be very handy in the for sale section)
two, i think there should for sale sections in the regional forums thanks

Hi and thanks for your suggestions.
On your first topic, the date and time of the original thread is available when you open a thread and look at the original post (see screen example below).
vBulletin (the software Club Lexus runs on) drives the thread to the top when there is activity and someone replies to it - that is the date you see in the forum threads view.
The second suggestion we accomplish by having a 'state' prefix on each of the classified ads that you can search and sort on. Rather than type a long reply on some of the other considerations, I'll paste in a response from a sticky in one of the regional forums.

We need to keep all the classifieds (both for sale and want to buy requests) in the classified forums only for a couple of important reasons. Any for sale posts in the regional forums are deleted or closed.
It's often not apparent to our members, but the moderator team does pretty very heavily monitor the classified forums on Club Lexus. We've got extensive classifeds-specific rules (link here) developed through years of observations of sales including many ripoffs, thefts, and problems with member sales.
It takes a LOT of time to review all the classified posts. Many of the moderators have 'expertise' in an area that allows them to focus on wheel sales or SC300/400 parts or general classifieds best... spreading that out across the sixteen different regional / club forums would make review difficult at best. The regional forums are most often read by 'non-moderator' members whose focus is meets and organization, not review and enforcement. The protection of our membership from classifieds sales ripoffs is something that is very important to the CL community.
Also not visible to you is that I personally take action with any member who gets negative feedback posted in the buy/sell feedback forum or iTrader. If I don't believe that the explanation given is sufficient or that enough effort is made to come to a resolution that both the buyer and seller can live with I don't allow members to sell on CL any longer. Sometimes I ban them if the issue is bad enough, but they often simply get restricted access to the classified forums - problem sellers/buyers can't see the classified forums any longer. We'd basically be turning the recurring 'problem sellers' loose just to sell somewhere else on CL... not going to do that.
A secondary issue is that many of the regional forums often get spammed by businesses (often local, often not) who are soliciting, promoting sales and advertising without supporting the forums. With sales posted in the regional / club forums it would definitely encourage this activity.
We added a 'prefix' to the classifieds several months ago so you can both specify and search for items by state. You can also be more specific in the location in the title of any FS/WTB post as needed.
