I was curious, being a new member to clublexus.com .. what does the member status mean? like driver, driver school candidate, clublexus paid member (you pay these people?), etc.. anyway.. just sorta curious.

The ranking is automatically driven by the number of posts you make. I believe Ethan (owner of CL) is going to change it sometime soon, as well as some big updates on the benefits of paid members.

Driver School Candidate 0-30 posts
Rookie 31-60 posts
Driver 61-90 posts
Lead Lap 91-130 posts
Pole Position 131-200 posts
Lexus Test Driver 201-300
Lexus Champion 301-499 posts
Lexus Tuner - 500-999 posts
Lexus Fanatic 1000+

Many members (including me) have contributed to ClubLexus (aka "these people") for a number of reasons, not least of which is the great information you gain here... for example links to details on a solution that plays DVD on your navigation system . Running and maintaining a website isn't free, and sponsors only partially defray the costs of server space, licenses, programming, hosting, marketing etc.

Can we get an update on the "old" rankings mentioned above? I think some of them are inaccurate like the Lexus Test Driver; that is achieved upon reaching 800 posts.

 

I took the earlier list from someone else's post. The below I got directly from forum setings, so it's right.

Here is the official setting as of August 6, 2003.

Well, don't you think it's a little outdated now???

 

I know I never received the CURRENT list.. and I like to keep current

 

and soon a new level for a few ( 1 or 2)...

I see that the # of posts for each ranking doubles, except for 'Lexus Fanatic', where the minimum is 5000 posts. Why not go with 3200?
