Dave Just curious Why does this rule exist?
I've been using forums for Cars and Bikes for 15 years and this is the 1st one I've seen have this.
I was looking to do a signature here and was going nuts trying to figure out why.. then I searched and found this.
Anyways let me know.

You can thank spammers for this rule. Automated bots that were joining daily and creating nonsense replies to active and large older threads just to get clicks and/or SEO visibility on the URLs in their signature.
Not only annoying to our members, but some of the links were malicious.
The 30/30 rule stops them, at least for last couple of years.
